- Squarepusher @ Royal Festival Hall, Lambeth, 24/04/09 - Drowned In Sound
- There's always something not quite right about Squarepusher shows. Whether it's the bizarre mix of people, or the sight of a bearded, middle-aged Essex man making an unholy racket in such a peculiar manner, there are very few artists to rival this man....
- Saved by zero - San Francisco Bay Guardian
- This year marks the 20th anniversary of Warp Records, one of the bedrock juggernauts of this business we call dance, the hyperintelligent folks whose cosmic stable encompasses famed knob-gods Aphex Twin, LFO, and Squarepusher through to latest...

- More Bands For Dour Festival - ClashMusic.com

- Naked Ravers Sign Up For The Glade Festival - Xfm Online
- Loads of them. “We spoke to our lawyers, the German nudist ravers can come! We'll be seeing (all of them) there!” Aside from naked German revellers, Glade will be headlined by Underworld and Squarepusher. The festival takes place at Matterley Bowl,...
- The moving pictures - The Phoenix
- Ward's drumming adds depth and prevents reliance on any one downbeat — his stuttered dynamics bring to mind the programming of Aphex Twin or Squarepusher. This rhythmic play both invigorates and jeopardizes Thiboldeaux's mantric repetitions by...
- Are record shops worth saving? (Part 2) - CNET News
- What kind of world do we live in where Squarepusher's dozen albums are loosely filed under S and Miley Cyrus gets her own roped-off section? Online, there are no second-class seats. When I have to ask for help in a store, I feel like a failure as a...
Squarepusher
Squarepusher is the performing pseudonym of Tom Jenkinson, an English electronic music artist signed to Warp Records. He specialises in the electronic music genres of drum and bass, musique concrète, and acid, with a significant jazz influence.
Jenkinson was born in Chelmsford, Essex in 1975 and was educated at King Edward VI Grammar School. He went on to study Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art and Design. Jenkinson performs live, playing with a fretless or fretted bass guitar, a laptop, and other hardware. He appeared twice on BBC Radio 1's The Breezeblock show.
Squarepusher sequenced his pre-2000 work on a BOSS DR-660 drum machine. He uses hardware for his electronic music such as King Tubby-style spring reverbs, Akai samplers, (S950 for early work, S6000 for later work), a Roland SH-101 synthesizer, a Roland TB-303 bassline synthesizer, and a reel-to-reel tape machine. Around the year 2000, Squarepusher bought a computer with Reaktor and an Eventide Orville for digital processing. According to a list of gear from the official website, Squarepusher owns.
He has been known to play Fender, Ernie Ball, and Warwick basses.
Perhaps the most ubiquitous sample associated with many Squarepusher songs is the use of the Amen break.
He is currently performing live with drummer Alex Thomas.
Do You Know Squarepusher
Do You Know Squarepusher is a 2002 album by Drum and Bass and Jazz musician Tom Jenkinson, aka Squarepusher. The title track had previously been released, in late 2001, as an untitled 12". The album was almost entirely digitally produced, with the exception of the last track, a cover of Joy Division's single "Love Will Tear Us Apart". Other tracks on the album mined a vein similar to his previous release, Go Plastic.
The CD version of the album includes a second disc of live recordings titled Alive in Japan.
Squarepusher Plays...
Squarepusher Plays... is a 12" vinyl record release by Squarepusher. Etching in the runout groove on side B: "I cannot be arsed with toilet humour". "Squarepusher Theme" was originally released on Feed Me Weird Things via Warp Records and the other two tracks were released on the Japanese import of Feed Me Weird Things.
Spymania
Spymania is a record label which has released music by Squarepusher, Jamie Lidell, MDK, Si Begg, Wafta, Cassetteboy, Spandex and Steven Taylor (Beckett & Taylor).
This label garnered a reputation as a breeding ground for underground artists such as Squarepusher and Jamie Lidell who both went on to become well established artists on the Warp Records roster.
Spymania would appear to be on indefinite hiatus despite regular updates to the label website. It's artists are still active however, Barrys Bootlegs are releasing Cassetteboy albums and related projects on a regular basis and Hand on the Plow continues to put out new music by Spandex and Beckett & Taylor. MDK released a new 12" on WeMe Records in 2007.
Numbers lucent
Numbers Lucent is an 6-track EP by English electronic musician Squarepusher, which was released on January 19, 2009.
The album artwork is in a similar vein to his previous release, Just a Souvenir, but these tracks featured here are much more uptempo and energetic, and are aimed at the dance floor as much as the home listener. There is a strong early 90's rave feel to many of the tracks, and most feature samples from early rave tunes by artists such as Rhythm Section (Rennie Pilgrem and Ellis Dee), Acen Razvi and The Prodigy, combined with Squarepusher's trademark glitchy jazz sound.
Selection Sixteen
Selection Sixteen is a 1999 album by Squarepusher, released on Warp Records. According to the CD, the cover-art is from a film called Acid Trayners 2, which seems to be different pictures of an oscilloscope. Throughout the record the bass, hooked to an audio/midi converter, played an important part in the composition of synth and drum parts.
Most releases of Selection Sixteen include Anti-Greylord Protection Scheme Prelude in a slightly rearranged order. "Ceephax Mix" was remixed by Squarepusher's brother, Andy Jenkinson, aka Ceephax Acid Crew. On the original release, "Schizm Track #2 Mix" is the first track.
Hello Everything
Hello Everything is an album by Squarepusher, released on 16 October 2006.
This is Squarepusher's 10th album and, prior to its release, three downloadable singles were made available from Bleep (Warp Records' MP3/FLAC store) — "Welcome to Europe", "Hanningfield Window" and "Exciton" are available for purchase; the last two are only on the Japanese version of the album. All three tracks were released on the 12" vinyl single Welcome to Europe. Limited editions of the album included a bonus 3" CD, Vacuum Tracks. This bonus material consists of 5 drone tracks similar to the track "Vacuum Garden".
The song "Hello Meow" is used for Adult Swim's "Next Sunday on " bumpers.
